Key features and spheres of product application
Lamp types
All lamps of this category are subdivided on three segments: lamps of low, high and ultra high pressure.
Operation principles
The main difference of discharge light sources from thermal light sources is their principle of work. While thermal sources of light the illumination comes from heating the tungsten filament up to high temperatures, in discharge sources of light emanation appears as a result of electrical discharge between two electrodes.
Illumination brightness
Spectral composition of emanation, that appears at discharge, is defined by the composition of gas, in which the discharge is happening. Brightness of illumination depends not only on the gas composition, but on its pressure and the amount of discharge current as well.
